Being called in to be told that your job is gone has, unfortunately, become a familiar scene for many a person. It’s not a nice experience. It’s difficult even to tell your family and friends. And it’s difficult to face the inevitable pressure of lack of money, lack of hope, and lack of self esteem. Your dreams are shattered, everything has changed.
There are no easy solutions. We can only keep going as best we can, believing that nothing is ever as bad as it seems and that in time all will come right.
Lord, you have promised to be always with us. Give us strength and wisdom on this road we have not travelled before.
